Plastic and metal top and bottom cases are compatible, giving you the freedom to create your ideal case combination. Note: Plastic bottom cases are only compatible with wired boards.
Bottom Case Compatibility
All metal bottom cases are compatible with both wired and wireless GMMK 3 keyboards.
Plastic bottom cases do not have a cutout for a wireless battery, making them only compatible with wired GMMK 3 models.

"Despite it being the bottom case, the brilliant color is noticeable from the sides and I love it. I picked the metal material and light blue color, which goes well with other parts of my keyboard like my keycaps and coiled cable, both made by Glorious. On a separate note, my top case is also metal so it all shines well together. No scratches or dings in the past year. The metal adds to the heftiness of the entire build, which is what I wanted."

"Purchased this to replace the plastic bottom case on the Boardsmith GMMK 3 HE I ordered with only the aluminum top case. After holding the keyboard in my hands afterward, I should have just ordered it in all aluminum to begin with! This feels HEFTY in a complete aluminum case. I also appreciate the built-in force-break mod the case essentially has by having little donut rings milled at the corners around each screw hole to hold the included O-rings. The only tricky part is plugging the PCB in. The daughterboard cable is really stiff, so it takes patience. The machined channel for the cable is just super precise though, so no worries once you have it in place. Really happy with this purchase and with how my GMMK 3 HE feels after placing it in this case!"
