Mass Effect: Andromeda was released 2 weeks ago and has already been the subject of lots of praise, as well as criticism. And it seems that BioWare have been actively listening to the complaints of gamers worldwide.
Andromeda's upcoming patch is going to fix a lot of cosmetic, technical and gameplay issues which have been plaguing what is supposed to be the biggest Mass Effect title to date. Will this be enough to finally give the game the polish it "desperately" needs? Based on the patch notes, we're definitely feeling confident about it.
These are only some of the improvements you can expect starting this Thursday:
- Allowing you to skip ahead when travelling between planets in the galaxy map
- Increasing the inventory limits
- Improving the appearance of eyes for humans and asari characters
- Decreasing the cost of remnant decryption keys and making them more accessible at merchants
- Improving localized voice over lip sync
- Fixing Ryder’s movements when running in a zig zag pattern
- Improving matchmaking and latency in multiplayer
Of course, you can visit BioWare's blog and see what else you'll get when the patch goes live. What's even better, however, is that the famous developer is just getting started, according to this statement:
We’re listening, and we’re committed to partnering with you as we continue to explore the Andromeda galaxy together.
It's clear we can expect additional patches that will ultimately make Andromeda's singleplayer and multiplayer experience something everyone will want to check out!
