Me again.

I’ve been seeing a lot of garbage talk in this comment section. As for the people who want LED’s on this mouse – look, kids, a computer mouse is for grabbing, not looking at. No-one is going to say “woah nice colours!”. Not even you. LED lighting is a novelty that wears out after a week, and I don’t want to pay extra for something like that.

As for “The mouse needs a million buttons on it!”, well, then it would be a MOBA/MMO mouse. An ideal mouse has 5 buttons – Right click, Left Click, a scroll wheel and two side buttons. This works for just about any game. I’ve played DOTA and other MOBA games. I’ve also played MMO games, and there’s this handy thing… Just over there… It’s called a keyboard! Woah this thing is practically made of buttons (or switches in most cases)!

I understand that many MOBA players enjoy lots of side buttons, but lots of side buttons would make the mouse heavier and more expensive, and that would just make it a MOBA-only mouse! I believe GPCGR should build an all-purpose mouse first, and worry about game-type-specific mice (mouses?) later down the line.

My only niche is that I’m a left handed mouse user, and I’d love to see two additional side buttons on the other side of the mouse, but I’ve been doing some thinking… If you really want to cut costs, you don’t need an ambidextrous mouse. We have other great options like the FK1 from Zowie, or the Razer Lancehead. I hate myself for saying this, but don’t worry about making the mouse perfect for everyone, just worry about making the best, most comfortable mouse for most people!

A right-handed, 5-button mouse with no LED’s and a hollow body. You can’t go wrong.
And if this really is the mouse you’ll be making. I’ll be waiting patiently for an ambidextrous version, but don’t worry about me!
